Ponogarden’s auditory hallucinations began when she was 14 years old. As time passed, schizophrenia—once her greatest enemy—became her ally, and the “voices” became her irreplaceable friends. She continues to create art by following the “voices” she hears. With a deep love for dogs, nature, and music, she remains actively engaged in a wide range of creative pursuits, music, including music, painting, poetry, Japanese tanka, essays, and literary works.
